Add Rick on Telegram, grant the permissions Rick needs, then run a first scan. Use the links below to add the official bot.

Add Rick on Telegram

Start a DM with @RickBurpBot or @rick, or add Rick to a group. Rick posts a welcome message when it joins a group. /start shows that onboarding again, /commands shows a cheatsheet of popular commands, and /help links to these docs.

Grant group permissions

- for contract, $cashtag, and AI replies. Most commands work without it.
Send Messages and Send Media - under Manage Chat restrictions.
Delete messages and Pin messages - optional: cleanup, reminders, pings, summaries.

Use a supergroup

Token tracking and leaderboards only work in a supergroup. That includes every feature that relies on token tracking, such as groupmode and ATH leaderboards.

Is my group a supergroup? Run /chatid in the group. If the chat ID starts with -100, you are good.
Upgrade - the fastest way is to make the group public and then private again. The group gets a new chat ID starting with -100, which you can verify with /chatid.

Rick is not responding on Telegram

Permissions - is Rick an admin, and can it send messages and media? Without admin, Rick does not respond to contracts or $cashtags.
Supergroup - does /chatid start with -100? Token tracking and leaderboards do not work in a basic group.

Telegram channels

This is a separate setup for channel owners. Skip it if you only use Rick in a group or DM.

Rick can respond in the comments of a Telegram channel. All tokens shared in the channel are then tracked by Rick, and you can query the leaderboards such as /ga and /groupburp.

Make a . Add one under Manage Channel in the channel. For the best token tracking experience, make this discussion chat a supergroup.
Invite Rick to the discussion group, not to the channel, and give the bot admin permissions as described above.

Refrain from posting anonymously in your channel or linked discussion group when you use tracking features. Anonymous posters are displayed as @Telegram or @GroupAnonymousBot.
