FAQ

Unofficial tokens and unofficial bot accounts are scams. Official entry points are listed on Introduction.

Rick does not offer an API, and one is not on the roadmap. On Telegram you can deep link to Rick instead: opening one of these links starts a DM with Rick and runs the command for the value you append. Replace contract, username, and the addresses with your own values.

Rick isn't an indexer. For most launchpad data, Rick relies on Codex and doesn't do custom launchpad or factory integrations. If yours isn't on Codex's supported launchpads list, reach out to Codex directly.

We are not looking for new integrations. However, if you think your project is a good fit, contact the team.

Start with a ping. A successful reply confirms that Rick is reachable and shows its response time.

If there is no reply, check Rick's status page and /status on either platform. Then check whether the platform itself has an issue:

• Discord: DownDetector and API status
• Telegram: DownDetector

A problem with one token or command does not necessarily mean Rick is down. You may also be rate limited.

A short restart can interrupt replies. Planned downtime is posted in the changelog. For an ongoing problem without an announcement, contact the team.

To avoid conflict with other bots, Rick uses /a to search CoinGecko tokens, and /x or /z to search DEX tokens. On Discord these are similar, but with a dot . prefix. See Pricebot.

Sometimes external services encounter disruptions or outages. Rick allows these services very little time to process requests, because speed is of the essence. Rather than waiting for slow responses and numerous retries, Rick swiftly provides default links, so you still have access to your favourite tools when other providers have difficulties.

@BurpBoard is the global leaderboard channel on Telegram. It updates every hour with hourly, weekly, and monthly updates for tokens tracked with Rick. How it works, and how to follow it on Discord, is on Global BurpBoard. Leaderboard commands are on ATH Leaderboards.

On Telegram, reply with x to delete one of your own messages at any time. The same reply deletes a Rick response, but only within a minute of when Rick sent it. On Discord, click the trashcan 🗑️ emoji on Rick's replies. If /buttons are enabled, click the red delete button on the message. See Scan controls.

You might want some features of Rick but prefer another price bot. Rick can be in your server or chat with any other bot. There are multiple solutions:

• Create a separate channel for Rick or for the other bots, and only allow that bot to read and send in its channel.
• On Discord, /pricemode off stops Rick from responding to contracts. Rick still keeps track of your watchlists and tokens. On Telegram, do the same with /autoresponder off. See auto responses.

Keep in mind that Rick is designed to be in every public channel. As a server admin, it is advised to set some rules about command and AI usage.

By default, Rick's footer on token scans shows data from within your group: groupmode is enabled by default. The footer is the bottom line of the price bot that looks like this:

The hit count is always based on global data, meaning data across all chats on the platform.

• Global data - want global data rather than group data? Use /groupmode off. Global data usually shows [anon], or the username if the user is not anonymous. If a clantag is set, the clantag of the group where the token was first seen is shown. Global data is always shown in DMs.
