Clans
Give a Telegram group a clantag with /clantag, link its X profile with /setsocial, claim daily XP with /rank, and climb the clan leagues.
A clantag is a short unique tag that identifies a Telegram group on
leaderboards, on BurpBoard, and in the lowest-scan footer of price scans.
Once a group has one, /rank claims clan XP every day and places the clan in
a league against other clans.
Clantags and Clan Rankings are Telegram only. Discord servers can join the
Rick Hub comparison with /hubrank.
Anonymous by default
Rick for Telegram is anonymous by default. Members who scan first in your chat
are hidden globally as [anon], and /anon off shows their names. A
clantag replaces [anon] or the username with [TAG].

Set a clantag
If a member of your chat scans a token first, or scans it at a lower FDV
than the current global low, your [CLAN] tag is shown instead of the
widely known [anon] label. It appears on /groupburp, on the @BurpBoard
channel, on all price scans in DMs, and in the clantag column of the
Clan Rankings. With a clantag of BURP, the scan footer
looks like this:

- Only
A-Zand0-9, at most 5 characters, always shown in uppercase. - A tag can be used by one chat at a time.
- You need to be an admin of the group, and the command only works in the group itself.
- A tag cannot be changed within 30 days of setting it, and cannot be removed within 7 days.
- If any abuse is detected, the chat is banned from clan features.
To set one:
- Run
/clantagand read the reply carefully. It shows the rules, the current tag, and the example footer. - Run
/clantag BURPwith your own tag. Rick shows what will be displayed and asks you to confirm. - Paste the confirmation it gives you,
/clantag BURP CONFIRM. The chat is now known asBURPand/rankis unlocked.
To remove a tag, run /clantag OFF and confirm with /clantag OFF CONFIRM.
The tag becomes free for other chats, and you cannot pick a new tag for 30
days. After that cooldown, /clantag NEW followed by the confirmation
replaces it.
Think before you tag
Changing or removing a clantag does not rewrite older scans. Tokens already attributed to the old tag keep showing it, so choose wisely.
Once a clantag is set, /flex <contract> anon generates a
Flexcard that shows the clantag
instead of the username.
Link an X profile
An admin can link an X profile to the clantag. It can be your DAO's profile or a personal one, and it makes the clantag clickable wherever the clan is referenced, on the Clan Rankings and on Community Thesis comments.
- Set up a clantag first.
- Run
/setsocial. Rick replies with a link that opens a pre-filled post,Proof of clan: TAG @RickBurpBot. Post it exactly as generated. - Copy the link of that post.
- Run
/setsocial https://x.com/you/status/123.... Rick fetches the post, checks that it contains the proof text, and links the poster's profile to your clantag.
A profile can only be linked to one clan at a time. Run /setsocial without
arguments to see the current link, and /setsocial reset to unlink it.
Claim clan XP
Clan Rankings are a fun and competitive way to compare your clan with other
clans. The clan earns XP, levels up, and unlocks leaderboards based on the
plays shared in the chat. /rank is the only way to claim that XP.
/rank- claim XP and show the clan's XP for recent days, this week, last week, this month, and all time, plus its level and rank. Requires a clantag and a supergroup.- XP is awarded when
/rankis called. The footer shows when another claim is available. - Level: Unlocking.. means the clan has not reached the first level yet. Keep claiming; at 100% the level appears.
The primary way to earn XP is by sharing good plays and being active within the group. Your ATH leaderboards are a good insight into how the group performs. XP is a formula based on activity and scan performance, so chats that scan a lot generally earn more, which is why there are multiple leagues. The exact details stay undisclosed to minimise abuse and cheating.
This is a rolling leaderboard. During the first days of a new week or month the rankings update as clans claim their XP, and they get more accurate towards the end of the period. Allow one to two weeks for a new season to crystallise while groups opt in and accrue their first XP. The boards stay dynamic no matter what rank you hold.

/rank leagueor/rank lg- the leaderboard of the clans in your own league./rank <rank>- the leaderboard of one league by name, for example/rank gold. Close spellings are matched.

Wrapped
At the start of each year Rick generates a Wrapped leaderboard for the
previous year. Run /rank to collect your clan's Wrapped XP, then run
/rank again to claim the regular daily XP.
/wrapped is the clan Wrapped leaderboard on Telegram only. Discord has no
clan Wrapped, but /me opens a separate personal view of your own activity in
the current server. See Discord

/wrapped- the top 25 clans of the most recent Wrapped year and your own position. Until the new year's Wrapped is ready, in the second week of January, Rick shows a countdown instead./wrapped <year>- an earlier year, from 2024 onwards.
Clan rules
- All participating chats must configure a clantag.
- Claim your XP every day (24 hours) for the best XP potential, and at least every 72 hours. After 72 hours a penalty applies to the XP received.
- There are currently no rewards in any form. Do not get scammed by anyone promising them.
- Bots are banned from clans. Some bots and autoforwarders that trigger Rick are useful in the trenches, but they make the rankings unfair. If you want to participate, run your auto-scan or signal bots in a separate chat. If you feel a ban is incorrect, please reach out.
